SR 50 is CLOSED in eastern Hernando County

Ridge Manor -- As of Saturday morning, July 13, 2024, SR 50 is closed to all traffic at the railroad tracks east of US 301. The closure is needed to erect beams for a SR 50 bridge over the railroad tracks and is expected to be in place around-the-clock for approximately 12 days for bridge construction and CSX railroad signal work. No traffic will be permitted to enter the work zone or cross the tracks during the closure. SR 50 is open to local traffic only from US 301 to west of the railroad tracks. SR 50 is expected to reopen on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.

DETOUR: Traffic is being detoured using US 301 and State Road 575 / CR 575 (Burwell Road). This is a lengthy detour; drivers are encouraged to plan extra time into their schedules to travel through the detour or consider alternate routes.  Detour Map

One lane closed: 24 hours per day, until further notice

SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) from Jefferson Street to west of Buck Hope Road
Lane closures (westbound): Monday, July 15 through Friday, July 19 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
