• SR 575 CLOSED at US 301

  Trilby/Lacoochee – SR 575 is closed on the east side of US 301, as of around 10 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026. The closure is needed to begin construction of a roundabout at the intersection. The closure is expected to be in place until August 2026. SR 575 will remain open to local traffic east of the closure at US 301.

  DETOURS: Drivers can access SR 575 by taking Cummer Road to Bower Road to SR 575. Access will also remain available from SR 50 (Cortez Blvd) by going south on Burwell Road (CR 575) which turns into SR 575 at Lacoochee Clay Sink Road.

• US 98 between CR 54 and Townsend Road
  Periodic lane closures/flagging operations: Monday, April 27 through Friday, May 1 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Old Lakeland Highway to be closed under US 98 during the day beginning May 4th

  Old Lakeland Highway (Alternate CR 35) is expected to be closed to all traffic under the US 98 overpass Monday, May 4 through Wednesday, May 6 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting. The closures are needed for beam setting and bridge work over the roadway.

  DETOUR: Traffic will be detoured using US 98, US 301, Clinton Avenue, and Old Lakeland Highway. Drivers are advised to choose alternate routes or plan extra time into their travel schedules for additional time that may be needed to travel through the detour route.

• Townsend Road closed at Jim Jordan Road

  Townsend Road is closed to thru traffic at Jim Jordan Road for construction related to the realignment of US 98.It is expected to reopen in fall 2026.

  Eastbound DETOUR: Turn right and go south on US 98, turn left onto Jim Jordan Road and go north, then turn right onto eastbound Townsend Road.

  Westbound DETOUR: Turn left and go south on Jim Jordan Road, turn right onto northbound US 98, then turn left and go west on Townsend Road.
