Northbound I-275 Entrance Ramps from Westbound and Eastbound 22nd Avenue South Closing Nightly

St. Petersburg, FL – Beginning Monday, July 15 through Wednesday, July 17, the northbound I-275 entrance ramps from westbound and eastbound 22nd Avenue South will close nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. weather permitting.

During these temporary ramp closures, motorists will turn north onto 31st Street South, turn east onto 15th Avenue South, turn north onto 28th Street South, and proceed onto the northbound I-275 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during this detour.

These closures are part of the I-275 concrete pavement repair project from 54th Avenue South to 5th Avenue South in Pinellas County. Construction activities are expected to finish in early 2026.

Lane closures (northbound and southbound): Sunday, July 14 through Thursday, July 18 nights from 7:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

St. Petersburg, FL – Beginning Monday, July 15 through Thursday, July 18, the eastbound exit ramp from Gandy Boulevard to 94th Avenue North will close nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.

During these closures, motorists should detour around the work zone using Dr. MLK Jr Street North.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during this detour.

These closures are necessary for crews to install drainage structures as part of the US 92 (Gandy Boulevard) Ramp Intersection Improvement project at 94th Avenue in Pinellas County. Construction activities are expected to finish in late 2024.

DETOUR: Exit at Ulmerton Road, go south on Frontage Road, turn left onto eastbound 118th Avenue N, and use the left lane entrance ramp onto eastbound SR 690.

Westbound SR 690 (Gateway Expressway) exit ramp onto northbound US 19 to be closed at night

The westbound SR 690 ramp onto northbound US 19 is scheduled to be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, July 14 through Friday, July 19 nights, weather permitting.

DETOUR: Traffic will be directed to exit onto westbound 118th Avenue N, where drivers can continue west on 118th Avenue N, turn right onto northbound Frontage Road, and then use the entrance ramp onto northbound US 19.

I-275 Express Lanes to be closed at night

The northbound and/or southbound I-275 Express Lanes in Pinellas County are scheduled to be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, July 14 through Friday, July 19 nights, weather permitting.

DETOUR: Use the I-275 general use (free) travel lanes.
