Nebraska Avenue between Palm Avenue and Columbus Drive Continues Closing Nightly

Tampa, FL – Beginning Sunday, July 14 through Thursday, July 18, Nebraska Avenue will close between Palm Avenue and Columbus Drive from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.

Northbound Nebraska Avenue motorists will detour around the work zone by turning east onto Palm Avenue, north onto Nuccio Parkway, proceeding north on 15th Street, and west onto 21st Avenue.

Southbound Nebraska Avenue motorists will detour around the work zone by turning east onto Columbus Drive, south onto Avenida República de Cuba, proceeding south on Nuccio Parkway, and west onto Palm Avenue.

Electronic message boards and signage will assist drivers traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while driving through each work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

These temporary nighttime road closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead construction work as part of the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275/I-4) Safety and Operational Improvements project. This project is expected to finish in 2027.
