St. Petersburg, FL – Beginning next week, the northbound I-275 entrance ramp from 54th Avenue S. to close nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., Sunday through Thursday nights (April 21 – May 2), weather permitting.

During these closures, motorists needing to access northbound I-275 will turn north onto US 19, turn east onto 22nd Avenue S., and enter the interstate using the northbound I-275 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should expect delays and congestion during this detour.

These temporary ramp closures are necessary for crews to replace concrete pavement slabs as part of the I-275 concrete pavement repair project from 54th Avenue S. to 5th Avenue S. in Pinellas County. Construction activities are expected to finish in 2026.
